King Hezekiah (2 Kings 18-19) was faced with a problem greater than anything we have ever faced. He woke up one day and Jerusalem was surrounded by 200,000 enemy soldiers and the commanding general was calling for surrender. It was an impossible situation, so what did Hezekiah do? He went to the temple to pray.
A lesson we need to learn is when we are facing great trials it is not time to complain or become discouraged, but it is time to pray. I have written a short book that tells this story of Hezekiah and parallels it with a time in my own ministry when I was facing an impossible situation. The book is called Tough Times Produce Tough People. You can have this book, along with the 31 day devotional, titled Prayer, when you join the Take A Knee In Prayer Challenge.
